Rebuild project is nearing completion

The Mossom Creek Hatchery site has continued to see a lot of activity.  This past week the upstairs interior progressed, with new windows being installed and the removal of the temporary wooden railing.  The exterior staircase was installed and hemlock ceiling stained. Salmon Return Oct 2014

Hatchery volunteer and resident photographer, Neil Laffra, filmed our first few salmon returning to Mossom Creek this past week. It’s an amazing site to see these mature adult Chum return to their home creek.  When volunteers did a creek walk, they counted 13 chum between the old cedar to above Ioco.  They’re back!
