This September marks 40 years of stream stewardship and education at Mossom Creek Hatchery!
It was the fall of 1976 that teachers Ruth Foster and Rod MacVicar embarked on a student project that would inspire 40 years of hands on environmental work by thousands of students and community volunteers.
Together, we’ve made incredible progress restoring and protecting Port Moody’s fragile streams and watersheds and educating people about the importance of our local environment.
Throughout the month of September we will be celebrating every Sunday from 11:00 am -1:30 pm with hatchery tours and nature displays. Come learn about your local watershed and the mighty salmon each Sunday in September.
